Spicewood Elementary School Dear Families and Community Members,
On behalf of Spicewood Elementary teachers, I would like to say Thank you! Last week was simply amazing and teachers felt very appreciated. A huge thank you to Mrs. Reese and Mr. Studer for their thoughtful planning of the Teacher Appreciation week theme and events. The lunch, breakfast, deserts, classroom supplies, and wonderful tote bags with personalized notes from our students truly touched our hearts.
Just a reminder that this week our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be taking STAAR. Although we will not be a closed campus, the lunch schedule will be changed for several grade levels in order to accommodate students who are testing. If you are planning to have lunch with your student, please check with his/her teacher to be sure you arrive at the correct time.
As we prepare for our 2019 evaluation visit, we are seeking the participation of parents/guardians in a brief online survey about our PYP school. Data collected from these anonymous surveys will be utilized to inform the self study reflection process in addition to the extensive reflection document that will be submitted to the International Baccalaureate Organization. Please take a few minutes to share your feedback, ideas and suggestions. Your participation is greatly appreciated!

2019-2020 Open PTA Chair Positions
We are working to fill the open PTA for the 2019-2020 school year! Volunteering with the Spicewood PTA is a wonderful opportunity to give back to our school while getting to know other parents and Spicewood teachers and administration. We have a wide variety of open chair positions, including Website Administration, Spirit Nights, Literacy Library, Kinder Round-Up, Destination Imagination and Environmental Awareness.
