Updates from the Principal

Dear Families and Community Members,

With four weeks left of school we would like to begin clearing out our lost and found. Please check for lost items at your convenience. All items left at the end of the school year will be donated. I would like to extend a huge thank you to all who have volunteered on our campus this year. There are not enough words to express our gratitude- we appreciate the difference you make! May 17 is our Volunteer Breakfast. I hope you are able to attend.

CELEBRATIONS

Sharing the Planet Week
Thanks to the support of our PTA and Bethany Morrison, PTA’s Environmental Chairperson, our campus celebrated Earth Day with a WHOLE WEEK of environmental awareness, education and action! We truly enjoyed seeing our community come together to items for community members in need and reflect and rethink about the way we use everyday items. Our Zero Waste Lunch Day was a huge hit with all students as well. We couldn’t believe how much uneaten food we mindlessly throw away! Students ended the week taking their Earth Day Pledge. We hope our students and community will keep up these efforts more than just Sharing the Planet week!

PYP 101

This section is contributed by our PYP Coordinator, Jessica Vance.

As we prepare for our 2019 evaluation visit, we are seeking the participation of parents/guardians in a brief online survey about our PYP school. Data collected from these anonymous surveys will be utilized to inform the self study reflection process in addition to the extensive reflection document that will be submitted to the International Baccalaureate Organization. Please take a few minutes to share your feedback, ideas and suggestions. Your participation is greatly appreciated!

If you have any questions, please reach out to me, Jessica Vance, jessica_vance@roundrockisd.org

Panther Pride Store
New items have been added to the Panther Pride Store! Each year at Auction, PTA sells grade-level original piece of art. This year is the first time we will offer prints from the original artwork from the 2017-2018 Auction. The winners have given permission to create high quality prints and put them on the store for the community to purchase. Kinder, First Grade, 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade will have prints available to purchase on the online store. Friday is the last day to order.

We had a delay in ordering the water bottles, travel tumblers, pencils and duffel bags, but they are now ordered.  Look for the date and time for pick up in the Panther Post this Friday.

Pick up event for any thirty one items order is May 7th.

Spirit Night
Thank you for making our Taco Cabana Spirit Night such a success! We had a steady crowd all evening and they will donate $388.26 towards our commitment of sending every 4th grader to Outdoor School! Thank you Mrs. Mitchell for attending. We appreciate your love for Outdoor School and our Panthers! Also, our last Spirit Night will be May 14th at Phil’s Icehouse.
