About Principal Page

Hello! My name is Teyan Page, and it is with great joy that I formally introduce myself as the new principal of Spicewood Elementary!

Having previously been the assistant principal for six years, I am not new to Spicewood. However, I would like to share a little about myself for those who may be new to our community. I am originally from Smithville, Texas, but have called Austin home since 2001. I have a 13 year old daughter who attended Spicewood Elementary, and loved being an IB student! This year she will be an 8th grader at Canyon Vista Middle school. During my free time I enjoy reading, composing songs, and writing inspirational blogs.

I am a proud graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. After eight years of teaching, my love for students and school improvement motivated me to earn a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas State. Upon graduating, I was hired by Round Rock ISD to serve as an Academic Dean at Anderson Mill Elementary, an IB World School. Two years later I accepted a job as an assistant principal at an International Baccalaureate charter school in Austin,Texas. While I appreciated the experience of opening a new IB school, I wanted to return to Round Rock ISD as soon as I could! !  In 2012, I returned as the assistant principal of Spicewood and most recently, named your new principal! I look forward to serving in this capacity.

My first year, I plan to focus on three things: building positive relationships with all stake holders, developing a strong partnership with parents and community to best serve students, and positively impacting student learning by supporting our campus vision of being a caring community of innovative globally minded citizens who take action!

I look forward to an incredible year and eagerly anticipate welcoming students and families back to school on August 16th.

Best regards,

Teyan Page
