Digital Citizenship: Responsibilities in a Digital World

Digital citizens think critically about what they see online and learn to make their own smart choices online and in life. This week students were exploring the concepts of responsibility and communication within their Who We Are and and How We Organize Ourselves planners. Students in first grade explored how the Internet connects us to others and what their responsibilities were in their online neighborhood.

Students in third grade discovered that digital citizens take responsibility for themselves, their communities, and their world and made connections to the IB Learner Profile attributes of being principled, reflective, and caring as a good digital citizen. Throughout the year, students will continue to explore what it means to be a good digital citizen, recognizing the rights, responsibilities, and opportunities of living, learning, and working in an interconnected digital world.
