Exhibition 2017: Parent Information Session

The role of the adult, both teachers and parents, plays a vital role in the PYP program. The student is best served when the parents and teacher work as partners to facilitate and encourage the inquiry in the classroom. Here at Spicewood, our teachers and parents work together on a weekly basis by guest speaking to our students, sending in artifacts/resources with their children to add to learning experiences in the classroom, and reading teacher newsletters/websites to stay informed on the learning that unfolds throughout the inquiry.

This week, we’re sharing a (virtual) parent information session about our 5th Grade Exhibition. Whether you’re a fifth grade parent or not, this yearly event is an entire school community event that allows our community to celebrate with a collaborative, transdisciplinary inquiry process. Our student identify, investigate and take action by offering solutions to a real-life issue or problem.

For further questions and inquires about the Exhibition, please contact our IB PYP Coordinator, Jessica Vance. And, don’t forget to stay connected with our 2017 Exhibition process through @SpicewoodPYP twitter feed!

We look forward to seeing you at our culminating event on Wednesday, May 24th!
